2 Covid deaths as daily count remains high at 1,547

THE Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration’s (CCSA’s) spokesman Dr. Taweesilp Visanuyothin said at 11.30 a.m. this morning (April 17) that there were 1,547 cases over the past 24 hours and two more fatalities taking the toll 99, Sanook.com said.

The new cases raise the cumulative confirmed total to 40,585 with 28,570 patients having recovered while 11,916 are still undergoing treatment.

A breakdown of the today’s cases shows that 1,316 patients voluntarily went to the hospital for treatment while 228 were found through proactive examination in communities.

Three overseas arrivals were either hospitalised or quarantined.
