AFTER A video clip showing a Krispy Kreme employee pushing a customer to the ground of a mall went viral on Thai social media today (April 16) the Thai operator of this international chain issued a public apology and said an investigation of their staff member’s behaviour will be undertaken, Amarin TV said.
The video clip (below), shared by Facebook user Red Skull:The Final, shows the employee pushing the customer who then fell on the floor of a famous shopping mall in the Rangsit area.
He said in his post the people should listen to both sides of the story, the customer is not God and service work requires extreme patience.
He added that he worked nearby the donut outlet and while he did not know all the details, he was told that this employee had got the order wrong and not packed the donuts as the customer had wanted which led to her getting very angry. The employee apologised three times but the buyer continued her stream of verbal attack.
After that she pushed the customer.
He also said that he had bought donuts from this employee many times and she always spoke politely.
Krispy Kreme Thailand said in its announcement that the company deeply regretted this incident and accepted every mistake that has occurred.
The company tried to contact the customer to make an official apology and take care of her hurt feelings.
Regarding the staff member, an investigation will be made to find out the facts in compliance with the company’s rules and regulations.
