SHARING a photo of a summons she received today (Dec. 16) is popular actress Intira Charoenpura, or Sai, with this stating that charges of violating Section 112 of the Criminal Code, known as the lese majeste law, have been filed against her and to report to Bang Khen police station on December 21, Sanook.com reported.
One of the people who filed the charges against her is Pol. Lt. Col. Anan Worasat who was in the news in 2015 when he was transferred from Bang Khen police station to work at Metropolitan Police Division 2 for 30 days. This followed a raid by police and soldiers on a gambling den in Saphan Mai area with 17 gamblers being arrested.
Sai, 39, has always shown support for democracy. She has provided food, tents, toilets and various other devices for youth gatherings and other groups supporting democracy.
She is known for her role as Mae Nak in the 1999 Thai horror film, Nang Nak. In 2007, she was featured in a prominent role as the warrior Princess Loehkin in part two of King Naresuan.
