TWO Turkish men used a saw blade to cut the bars at their detention room in Mae Sot and fled last night with police hunting for them at this city bordering Myanmar, Sanook.com reported this afternoon (Oct. 14, 2020).
The two men, Mr. Murad Yeslicana, 41, and Mr. Razid Ashim, 29, had been sent by Immigration Division 3 police for detention at Mae Sot Immigration Office on February 15, 2020, and were held here throughout until their escape last night.
An Immigration unit has joined local police in hunting for the two Turkish men but as of early this afternoon they had not been caught.
Meanwhile two inmates who broke out of Krabi prison on September 30 this year were captured on October 9 in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, Thai Rath newspaper reported.
Mr. Anon Denmat, 32, from Trang province, and Mr. Khan Saman, 47, a Krabi resident, were arrested while driving to a house of a close friend in this province.
