Palang Pracharath Party rocked as 18 executive directors quit

PRIME Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha refused to comment on more than half Palang Pracharath Party executive directors resigning today (June 1) with this leading to party leader Uttama Savanayana, secretary-general Sontirat Sontijirawong and all current executive directors vacating their positions, Sanook.com reported.

Gen Prayut was questioned by the Press about this group resignation and whether it would affect the Cabinet at Government House just as he was going to attend a meeting of the Natural Rubber Policy Committee  but he simply pointed his hand towards the meeting room.

Earlier today the party’s deputy leader Paiboon Nititawan announced that 18 executive directors of the party had resigned with immediate effect with this leading to the current executive committee, consisting of 34 persons, also immediately ceasing to exist.

The names of the 18 executive directors who quit are as follows:

  9. Mr Natthaphon Thepsuwan
  10. Mr Putthiphong Punnakan
  11. Mr Chanwit Wipoosiri
  12. Mr Sakonthi Phatthiyakun
  13. Mr Samrit Tansap
  14. Mr Rachat Tribussakorn
  15. Mr Niphan Sirithorn
  16. Mr Suriya Juangroongruangkit
  17. Mr Somsak Thepsuthin
  18. Mr Pongkawin Juangroongruangkit
