FOUR British nationals who were arrested on charges of stealing a safe containing over 2 million from the townhouse of a compatriot in Chonburi last Thursday (Feb. 26) are being interrogated but remain uncooperative as they deny the charges, Amarin TV said last night (March 1).

After masked robbers broke into the townhouse British chef, Mr. Wesleigh, 32, and his wife Ms. Chandee, 34, and stole the safe containing the large sum of money the couple had withdrawn to buy a house in Thailand, as well as two iPhones, Nong Prue police station detectives together with officers from Chonburi Provincial Investigation Division and Immigration Police rounded up the four British suspects, three of African descent and one Caucasian, and brought them to this police station for questioning.

The first suspect, Mr. Palmer Jermaine, 20, (of African descent), was arrested at Padang Besar checkpoint, Sadao district, Songkhla province; the second suspect, Mr. Christopher Arance, 38 (of African descent), was arrested at Don Mueang Airport; the third suspect,  Mr. Michael Campbell Tyhull Jr., 32 (of African descent),  was arrested at a hotel in Prakhon Chai district, Buriram province.

Meanwhile the fourth suspect, Mr. Garrett Brandon, 27 (Caucasian), was apprehended at a resort near the railway line in Ban Nong Yai, Nong Prue subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi province. (All names translated as written in Thai).

Brandon is currently being interrogated along with the other three suspects. Surveillance camera footage shows he was in his room prior to the robbery, suggesting he planned the heist.

Initially, all the foreign suspects denied the charges and have not given any helpful information, leading to separate detention and interrogation.  However police are confident that there is sufficient evidence to convict all the suspects in this case.
