Paetongtarn arrives at Constitutional Court to testify in impeachment case

SUSPENDED prime minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra arrived at the Constitutional Court to testify in the impeachment case filed against her over her leaked cellphone conversation with Cambodian leader Hun Sen at 9.20 a.m. this morning (Aug. 21), Naewna newspaper said.

She was accompanied by Dr. Prommin Lertsuridej, secretary-general to the Prime Minister, and her lawyers.

Also with her were her husband Mr. Pitaka Suksawat and her sister Ms. Pintongta Shinawatra-Kunakornwong.

Paetongtarn remained calm when asked by reporters whether in making merit yesterday, for her birthday today, had encouraged her, only smiling and giving a wai.
