FOUR policemen riding two motorcycles chased a knife-wielding driver of a six-wheel truck that does not have side panels up and down Rama IV road from 2 p.m. onwards today (Sept. 4) but he managed to drive off towards Bang Phli, Samut Prakan, TV Channel 3 Plus News said.

The driver appeared to be delirious as he drove the big vehicle from Maleenont Building on Rama IV road, Klong Toey district, to Phra Khanong intersection then U-turning and returning to this building and moving on.

When he got stuck at the Kluai Nam Thai intersection red light, a policeman tried to intercept him by climbing onto the truck and smashing the window but this driver slashed him with his knife forcing him to retreat.

The other three policemen then shot at the truck’s tyres to stop it but the driver squeezed to the right and swerved to the left, causing him to lose control and hitting other vehicles that had stopped at the red light, damaging them.

He then turned right to Khlong Toei port and is still being pursued as he heads towards Bang Phli, Samut Prakan.
