Views of the first solo release by the rapper and Blackpink member soared over 2 million within an hour of the music video’s release at 7 a.m. yesterday.
Rockstar, produced under an inter-company contract between Lisa’s company Lloud Co. and RCA Records, was directed by Henry Schofield and choreographed by Sean Bankhead.
Late last night Mr. Uten Luengsaengthong, nicknamed “Kim Thailand” and “Rich Paknam”, manager of Rich Neon Light Co. Ltd. which operates a media billboard business and looks just like North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, said he grew up in Yaowarat area running around there as a child.
Asked about Media Popbase having reported that Lisa had to pay shops along Yaowarat road 20,000 baht each to close down during the shooting of the music video at night when the area is usually bustling with people, Uten replied that they would not have charged her anything if they knew it was the world-famous rapper filming there because she is promoting the area.
“On visiting Yaowarat road tonight, a lot of foreign tourists asked to take photos with me, so I would like to act as a representative of Thai people in welcoming them to Thailand and thank Lisa for making the country famous,” he said.
