A THAI woman in northern Lampang province who could no longer tolerate her husband having affairs with five other women hit his head with a hammer then stabbed him with a knife killing him in front of their house around midnight last night, Amarin TV said today (May 22).
At 00.10 a.m. Pol. Maj. Gen. Bhumipanya Nawatrakul-phisut, commander of Lampang provincial police, and his team quickly went to investigate the murder in Bo Haeo subdistrict, City district.
At the scene they found the body of Mr. Dech Kruathanu, 63, beaten and stabbed to death on the road in front of his house. At the garage they found a large hammer which they kept as evidence.
His wife, Mrs. Porn Kruathanu, 62, did not run away after killing her husband and waited for them to arrive within the house.
Upon being questioned she told them the two of them quarrelled often because she was unable to cope with her husband having affairs with as many as five women.
She added that after quarrelling again last night her husband moved to attack her so she grabbed the hammer and hit his head. He ran out to the road where he fell and she then stabbed him with a knife.
However police are still investigating the real motive for his murder.
