ALL ENTERTAINMENT VENUES nationwide will be legally allowed to open from dusk on the New Year’s Eve until dawn of the New Year’s Day, confirmed the MInistry of Interior’s spokesperson Traisuli Traisaranakul today (Dec.11).
All entertainment places in all the provinces throughout the country will be legally allowed to open until 6.00 a.m. on January 1 for the people to celebrate the New Year on an exceptional basis, Traisuli said.
Meanwhile, all entertainment spots in the premises of hotels in all the provinces nationwide may legally open until 4.00 a.m. as of the upcoming Friday, she said.
Nevertheless, the extended opening hours for entertainment venues outside of the premises of hotels will be allowed by law only for those in Bangkok and four provinces with major tourist spots whilst all others elsewhere will not be granted such an extension, according to the spokesperson.
Those entertainment spots in the capital, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Chonburi which geographically covers Pattaya and Samui Island off Surat Thani, either within the premises of hotels or without, may legally open until 4.00 a.m. as of the upcoming Friday.
