Ms. Rachada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, said both sides exchanged views on Thai-UK relations and their perspectives on youth development, promoting education and women’s participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
Anutin mentioned that the visit to Thailand during July 15-18 by Princess Anne and her husband is very meaningful to the Thai people as they will be laying wreaths for the funerals of Her Late Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and Her Late Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita. They are also scheduled to have an audience with Their Majesties the King and Queen with this reflecting the strong relationship between the monarchies of both countries.
The Princess Royal offered her condolences over the beer hall fire that killed 33 people and injured 71 others and also convey a condolence message from outgoing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Both sides exchanged views on promoting education and enhancing the role of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Princess Anne mentioned that the success of promoting women’s participation in these fields requires the cooperation of both families and teachers. Anutin, drawing on his experience in engineering, emphasised that education, critical thinking, and analytical skills are fundamental to problem-solving and national development.
