2 foreigners found dead in the same Pattaya condo within 2 hours

A SHOCKING incident occurred in Pattaya City today (July 17) as two foreign men were found dead in the same condominium building, but on different floors, only two hours apart with this puzzling the policemen who have launched a thorough investigation, Amarin TV said.

This seaside city’s police were first alerted at 2 p.m. that a foreign man, later identified as Mr. Mika Huotari, 38, a Swedish national, was found dead in unit number 509 on the fifth floor of this condominium located behind Pattaya Tai Computer Building. 

He was found lying naked in a Jacuzzi with the water overflowing. There was laceration on his forehead and right eyebrow, approximately an inch long and blood had flowed into the water but there was no sign of struggle in the room.

Then at 4 p.m. police again had to come to the same condominium upon being notified that another foreigner had been found dead at unit number 715 on the seventh floor. He was identified as Mr. Michael Shane, 54, an Australian national, and was found lying in a pool of blood. A broken glass was found at his left elbow. There was no sign of struggle, but many bottles of medicine were scattered around the room.

Upon being questioned, Ms. Thanchanok Prajit, 27, the building’s caretaker, said she was alerted by the decreased man’s friend to go and investigate because she has not been able to contact him for two days. When she arrived she found the door locked with there being a foul smell emanating from within so called the police.

Initially, police took photos and collected evidence from both units with the dead bodies having been sent to Pattakhun Hospital while their relatives are informed.

A detailed investigation will be conducted to establish the true cause of their death. Although no direct connection was found initially, since their bodies were found in the same building within just a couple of hours no possibilities have been ruled out.
