KLATHAM LEADER Narumon Pinyosinwat today (June 4) categorically dismissed speculation that she would probably be reshuffled from the current seat of agriculture & cooperatives minister and be replaced by an MP of the same coalition camp.

Narumon branded as “utterly groundless” the hearsay that she would probably be transferred from the current portfolio in a new cabinet lineup anticipated to take place later this month and be replaced by Klatham MP Attakorn Sirilatthayakorn who was once a deputy agriculture & cooperatives minister in the time of a previous government.

Narumon is largely known to be personally close to Klatham MP Thammanat Prompao who had led an exodus of 20 MPs from the Palang Pracharath to the Klatham, turning his former party into an opposition camp led by former deputy prime minister Prawit Wongsuwan.

Thammanat is invariably viewed as practically stalwart to and entrusted by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s father/de facto Pheu Thai boss Thaksin Shinawatra.

If Attakorn was eventually named agriculture & cooperatives minister in place of Narumon, his own father, namely Itthi Sirilatthayakorn, would be removed from the current seat of deputy agriculture & cooperatives minister.

The Klatham leader also downplayed the possibility that her coalition party would be given a seat of deputy interior minister whereas Bhumjaithai leader Anutin Charnvirakul would probably be removed from the current seat of interior minister to a “relatively less significant” portfolio whilst retaining his other seat of deputy prime minister in concurrent fashion.

Anutin, who concurrently acts as leader only in name of the second largest coalition partner under de facto Bhumjaithai boss Newin Chidchob was largely speculated to be replaced as interior minister by the likes of Pheu Thai-attached Prasert Jantararuangtong who is currently a deputy prime minister-cum-digital economy & society minister.

In another development, Ruam Thai Sang Chart leader Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, a protege of former de facto party boss/former coup leader-turned-prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, would probably be removed from the energy portfolio with a Pheu Thai figure as his replacement and be given another ministerial seat in the approaching cabinet lineup.
