Chaengwattana badly flooded after heavy rain

HEAVY rain in Bangkok and surrounding area earlier today (June 26) led to Chaengwattana road being heavily flooded on both sides from Foreign Ministry onwards triggering heavy traffic congestion as vehicles slowly move through floodwaters, Naewna newspaper quoted FM91 Trafficpro said saying at 3.27 p.m.

Later at 5.23 p.m. FM91 Trafficpro again reported that there are critical traffic jams on both sides of Ngamwongwan road, Khae Rai in downtown Nonthaburi, Phong Phet intersection and Bang Khen district.

Snarl-ups were also reported on Somdet Phrachao Taksin road and Talat Phlu area of Thonburi as well as at Rama 3 and Bangkok bridges.

At 5.18 p.m. the traffic radio station had reported that the outbound side of Ratchadapisek road from Ladprao intersection to Ratchayothin traffic was moving very slowly because of an accident at the tunnel.
