ANOTHER big shake-up in the media industry was reported today (Apr. 26) with the well-known Voice TV owned by de facto Pheu Thai boss Thaksin Shinawatra’s son Panthongtae “Oak” Shinawatra shutting down on May 31, 2024, Naewna newspaper and PPTVHD36 said.
Additional reports said Voice TV is preparing to lay off more than 100 employees in various departments and broadcast and distribution on all platforms to cease on May 31, 2024.
A Voice TV news anchor and programme host, Ms. Lakkana Punwichai, aka Khaek Kam Phaka, later said on her Facebook page that the CEO will be giving a press conference at 4:30 p.m. and she will continuing her programme till May 17, 2024.
