SELF-EXILED, DE FACTO PHEU THAI BOSS Thaksin Shinawatra has reconfirmed he is definitely coming back home next month, the date of which is yet to be disclosed.
In talk with famed TV host Khachapa “Moddam” Tancharoen in Singapore recently, Thaksin has repeated his earlier vow to return home after 17 years of globetrotting and living in self-exile abroad though he might possibly end up in jail upon his planned homecoming next month.
The deposed prime minister who has been earlier sentenced in absentia by court to a combined 10-year prison under separate counts of misconduct perpetrated during his premiership nearly two decades ago said he is already too old to be politically involved any longer and that he would rather leave the country’s political future to new generations.
The de facto Pheu Thai boss reconfirmed he had merely intended to come back to literally babysit all his seven grandchildren so their parents could have more time to work.
However, Thaksin said his daughter/Pheu Thai candidate for prime minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra will unveil to the public next month’s exact date for his planned homecoming.
Late last month, Paetongtarn visited her father and her aunt/deposed prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra at an undisclosed place in the island republic.
