Many areas of Bangkok flooded after torrential rain

GREATER Bangkok was lashed by torrential downpour from 2.30 p.m. onwards that led to many roads being flooded and critical traffic jams building up in many areas, Naewna newspaper said late afternoon (Oct. 3).

Flooding was particularly heavy at Bang Na intersection with small cars having difficulty going through. Also in a bad state were the stretch in front of  Central Ladprao and outbound Phaholyothin road where the tailback reached Lad Phrao intersection.

Many Twitter users alerted residents of the bad weather and snarl-ups on key roads via JS100 and FM91 Trafficpro accounts.

With many roads and areas now flooded people are urged to be careful when heading home this evening.
